Features & Security
Redvast provides various security tools to protect your digital assets.
SSL/TLS Scanning
Verify SSL certificate validity, detect expiring certificates, and check for strong encryption configuration.
Port Scanning
Identify open ports and detect unauthorized services that might be exposed.
HTTP Header Analysis
Check for important security headers like Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, and HSTS.
DNS Monitoring
Validate DNS records (A, MX, SPF, DMARC) and detect potentially dangerous misconfigurations.
Automated Alerts
Get automated notifications via email or in-app when SSL certificates are about to expire, new ports are detected, or security scores drop significantly.
Troubleshooting
Solutions for common problems you might encounter.
Error: Connection Failed
If scan fails with connection error:
- Ensure the entered domain is valid and accessible
- Check if firewall blocks access to the domain
- Verify that domain is not using strict Cloudflare or DDoS protection settings
Domain Verification Failed
If domain verification fails:
- Ensure the TXT record is added to the correct domain (root domain, not subdomain)
- Wait 5-10 minutes for DNS propagation (some providers may take longer)
- Verify the TXT record value is exactly as shown in the dialog (no extra spaces)
- Use a DNS checker tool to verify the TXT record is visible
- Check with your DNS provider if there are any restrictions on TXT records
Invalid SSL Certificate
If scan results show invalid SSL certificate:
- Check your SSL certificate expiration date
- Ensure certificate is installed correctly on the server
- Verify that the scanned domain matches the certificate
- Update certificate if expired or about to expire
Low Security Score
To improve security score:
- Implement recommended security headers
- Close unnecessary ports
- Update SSL certificate to stronger configuration
- Fix detected DNS misconfigurations
